Can-Am Spyder RS Trailer Tow Hitch

Fits GS, RS-S, RS, ST and ST-S Models

2008 to Newer

FEATURES:

  • Manufactured with solid steel and Powder Coated in semi-gloss black.
  • The Hitch comes with the side plates that once installed will remain on the Spyder but allows an easy removal and re-installation of the hitch.
  • Free 1 7/8” chrome ball (other sellers charge extra for this)
  • 2 holes for the security chains or steel cables.

RS Hitch Installation Instructions:

1. To take the weight off the back end of the motorcycle, use a floor jack to elevate the rear wheel off the ground.

2. On either side of the axle, you will find two (2) plastic covers. Remove them.

3. Then, detach the cotter pin on the right side.

4. Next, unbolt and completely remove the axle.

5. Locate the supplied side plates.

6. Then, find the spacers on the sides of the axle and replace them with the "left" and "right" plates respectively.

7. Now, move the axle back into place, bolt it, and secure it with the cotter pin.

8. Align the holes of the hitch to the holes of the side plates.

9. Next, insert the supplied bolts from the inside of the hitch through the aligned holes.

10. Screw the nuts on and tighten until snug, then attach the plastic nut covers.

Note: It is easier if the parking brake is not on.

Easy to install, looks good, well built and well worth the money.

  • Ok for the price. 4

This hitch is a pain to install as you have to pull out the axle to mount it. It would better if it came with the hollow bolt mounting system, but for the price it is ok.

  • Absolutely amazing 5

It took me all of 15 minutes to put my new hitch on my 2013 Can Am Spyder ST-S. I'm actually on a trip now pulling a trailer & it is so nice to have the extra storage. Going to recommend to my friends
