Road trips are a time honored tradition that can create some of the most cherished memories, but they can also end up in disaster is if you’re not careful with planning, map directions and a whole assortment of odds and ends that most people don’t think about. If you are  traveling across all fifty states in one trip, well - you are going to want to do a bit of planning that out.

To save you and your riding buddies from long hours of hunger, frustration and a ruined vacation- we’ve gathered up a list of some of the most helpful road trip apps. With these apps you’re road trip will be rolling along in no time.

With this app you’ll never get stuck sleeping in the front seat again. HotelsByMe shows hotel locations along with real-time vacancy and prices. All this is pulled from TripAdvisor and you’ll even be able to see if the hotel nearest you has a five-star rating or a pool to keep the kids busy.
