Our LUMINA XL is a pull behind motorcycle cargo trailer designed with diamond tread plate and sleek black aluminum sides. This trailer boasts 18 spacious cubic feet of storage allowing two people to easily pack enough luggage for a full three-weeks of traveling. The trailer looks great behind your Harley, Goldwing, Can Am Spyder or any motorbike, trike or cycle.

We constructed Lumina XL's chassis from aluminum and suspended it with a torsion axle to keep it light weight and smooth towing. Weighing in at only 190lb, this mini trailer is so feather light that you will almost forget that you're towing anything at all. Perhaps you've heard this rumor: steel chassis are preferred to aluminum ones because aluminum is vulnerable to stress fractures. Really? The chassis on GM's high performance Corvette Stingray is aluminum. How's that for stress management?

FREE Freedom Pivot Ball

Leaning into a turn is a necessary (and fun) part of riding a motorcycle. Sadly, when towing a trailer, traditional couplers do not allow the appreciable lean needed in a turn, which can cause flipping, binding, or jack-knifing. To help avoid these potentially deadly situations, industry insiders (Read Article Here) strongly advise the use of a swivel mechanism, and we agree. Unfortunately, swivel mechanisms can cost$149 or more.

We understand that price may be a concern, but trailering without one risks your well-being, the well-being of your passenger, and that of others on the road. We believe this so strongly that we are giving you a FREE Freedom Pivot Ball with your purchase of a Lumina XL. It is our gift of peace of mind. Do not expect to find an offer like this if you buy a trailer elsewhere, DO expect to purchase a tilt ball separately and DO expect to pay more. Why pay more for peace of mind, when you can get it for free at The USA Trailer Store.

  • LUMINA XL 5

This is the third trailer I have purchased. (Pull behind trailer for my 2016 Harley Tri Glide). This is by far the best trailer I have owned. Workmanship has only gotten better over time. Heavy duty and belt to last. I always shop prices and this was the best price by far. Communication between seller and buyer was great.. Shipping was fast. It takes about an hour and a half to put together doing it by yourself. Direction were great. A++++ seller.

Received trailer from R&L shipping. Driver was helpful and used pallet jack to pull it up to the garage. Inspected pallet and box and there was a little damage to one corner. So I took pictures in the event the actual trailer was damaged inside. When box was opened there was no damage to the trailer. Had it put together in about an hour and a half with me and my son. Initial impressions are very good with only two or three areas for improvement. In the instructions there are no indications of the wiring configuration. I know the standard 4 pin configuration and went with that when tracing out wiring. Had the lights working in no time. I did notice that the trailer is not grounded from what I could tell by tracing wiring. Second observation is that the lid does not close flush and there is some movement up and down when lid is closed. You cannot adjust the lid locking bolt anymore to make it shut tighter. I will need to make a trip to local home store to get a roll of some foam to make lid close down tight and be waterproof. Lastly the bearings on the hubs seemed to be tight. So I pulled them apart and cleaned all the shipping grease out and re-greased with some quality stuff i use on boat trailer which seemed to free them up. Will get it out on the road this weekend for a shakedown and see how it goes. Overall seems to be a nice trailer.

Unit was delivered in a timely and professional manner. Set-up was easy and can be done alone. Be careful of Sharpe edges on the Fenders they will get you. Unit looks great with my black SlingShot! Just buy one, you know you want too!

  • Beautiful trailerand easy assembly 4

Posted by Jerry R. Johnson on May 25th 2016

I was a little surprised when the trailer arrived. I expected it to be bigger than it was. The assembly instructions were very easy to understand it didn't take all that long to put it together. I did have 2 concerns during assembly. 1. The instructions said to be sure and put grease in the axle and bearings but I wasn't sure how much to put in. My question was , is there ANY grease at all already in the bearings or were they compleatly dry? My fear was that I would over fill the bearings and blow a seal causing a leak. I'm still uneasy on whether I put in enough grease or not. 2. While putting the lug nuts on the wheels there was 1 nut that seemed as though it wouldn't tighten down like the others. You can actually see that it sticks out more than the other lug nuts. Since I'm planning on using the trailer this coming weekend I will go to a parts store tomorrow and see if I can find another one that fits properly. Other than those two issues I believe the trailer is a fantastic investment.

When I received the trailer it was packed very well. It only took about an hour to put it together. The only bad thing is that I had to replace the electical cord. It was a male when I needed a female. Over all if I have to buy another trailer, I would buy from this company. I pull this trailer behind a 1700 Vulcan Voyager.

I picked up my trailer 11-9-15 at the Long Beach Warehouse. It was easy to find and they were good to help me load it. I found it was very easy to assemble. I made a video of the assembly and sent it in. I was short some bolts and nuts but the Trailer Store sent them out right away. I went for a test ride and it pulled real good and the lights work great. I pull it with a Can AM Spyder. I would highly recommend this trailer to pull behind a motorcycle.

  • Very well built trailer 5

The trailer is as described. It was easy to assemble. The trailer is light and easy to pull. The interior is larger than I was expecting.

  • Great trailer, you should get one. 5

This is a very well built trailer. Lots of storage room, nicely finished. I tow with an HD CVO Limited and don't even know it's there. Uses standard wheel bearings, 5 lug on 4 1/2 spacing and 1/2-20 lug nuts. There is a warehouse in Long Beach, Ca where you can pick it up and save even more.

  • 2015 purchase 5

I bought this xl trailer in early April, 2015 from the Greenville, SC factory. There was no showroom or sales counter. The workers were pleasant and filled my order promptly. Unit preformed well on my trim home, 350 miles. Unit needs side marker lights instead of reflectors. Door gasket needs more bulk. Top scrapes away paint on this black sided unit. Overall good unit but I need to customize it somewhat.
