  • Vented fairing 4

I just installed the Stealth 650/1100 vented style fairing on my V Star 950. The quality of the fairing is excellent. I don’t know why there is not a stealth fairing manufactured specifically for the 950! I have searched far and wide, but I could not find one anywhere. I also had to make my own brackets to mount the fairing to my bike. The finished product looks great on my bike, but my complaint is that (a) they don’t make a stealth fairing for the vstar 950 and (b) they don’t make a bracket to mount the stealth fairing to the vstar 950. If you’re mechanically inclined, do not let these 2 issues keep you from buying the fairing because the finished product is awesome!

I am very pleased with this fairing. It arrived quickly after ordering, I think it was three days. Mine was installed on a v star 650, I didn't buy the Memphis shades mounted kit I just used my existing windshield mount and it worked fine. I did have to make up a couple of spacers in order to make up the gap between my mount and the fairing mount which was no big deal.I would definitely purchase this fairing again because it is a very well built unit and you definitely can't beat the price in it.

  • Two part review 4

I have a two part review. Part one: the fairing itself is a well made very nice looking fairing. The radio opening could have been a little smaller so it could be opened up to fit more closely more radios without adding additional fittings but it worked. I used speaker adapters since mine had just a little more depth that the fairing provided. Fairing itself 5 stars Part two: I understand that this is more is a "universal" fit item, but it was listed as a fit for the 1100 Silverado. The instructions were ultra basic. They didn't really give any insight to how to fit to this bike. So here is some specific things for others to consider: 1) The upper fork covers must come off. The clamps the instructions (and website) call for will never fit around them. In case you don't know, the upper triple tree needs to come off to remove the fork covers. The down side to this is the lower portion of the upper fork is exposed and there is some sort of nut and pin there, I'll have to figure something out. 2) while you have the upper triple tree off, move the cables to the back, tank side, of the tree. it will keep them away from the fairing. 3) you will need to either fabricate your own bracket, which I had no access to a shop for, or use spacers and longer bolts to attach the fairing. There was a 1.25" gap between the bracket and the lower clamp. The upper clamp had a 1" gap between it and the bracket. I initially used nylon spacers, but have since found some chrome spacers I'm going to replace those with. Installation information 3 Stars

bought the 650 v star model assuming i would need to build my own brackets, but upon inspection found i would just need to drill 2 new holes to get the angle correct. then used the remaining holes to install custom turn signals. looks great and is solid. one windscreen was damaged in shipping but when contacted they shipped a replacement right away, great customer service

Buying two fairing for my son & myself, we installed them on a 2004 Suzuki 1600 and a 2006 Kawasaki 1500 Classic. Both needed modification on the existing mounting brackets. We are both pleased with the outcome. Your product is reasonably priced and highly recommended by this family. Thank You

I was wondering how hard it would be to mount it but was very simple. It is very nice looking and I got it in 3 days after ordering it. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in a batwing faring. I also have looked at other brands and this one is by far the best bang for the money. Thanks for everything

Ordered this fairing for my 2002 vstar 1100 classic. It shipped the next day and I had the fairing in about a week. (WA State) the fairing itself seems well made. Looks good on my bike. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the mounting set up. They state that you need memphis shades fork clamps to install this fairing. I bought the clamps from amazon. About $50 for all four. In order to use these clamps, if you have a vstar classic, you will have to remove your fork covers which requires you to remove the forks. I like the look of my fork covers and did not want to remove them. BUT I already opened the clamps, so I can't return them. I ended up mounting the fairing using some stainless bushings attached to my detachable windshield mount. Overall I'm happy with the fairing, but not happy I wasted $50 on some cheesy clamps that I don't need.
