Alpha Sport Folding Motorcycle Trailer – Stands Upright for Storage

I've used this for 3 motorcycle track days already since purchasing in August. This works great and fits really well when stood up in my garage. What an amazing design, highly recommended!

I bought this trailer about a year ago and only this past week finally had a chance to use it. It's been stored in my shed all this time. I towed my Indian Springfield approximately 800 miles over highways and back roads. I have to admit that I was extremely nervous for a while after I began the trip as I watched my bike through the rear view mirror bounce around every time I hit a bump, sometimes pretty violently. No matter how hard you try to avoid them, bumps, potholes and uneven roads are a fact of life, but this little trailer handled them all quite impressively. I was surprised at how light the trailer hitch end was after loading my bike. I could pick it up without assistance. I had to use a 4" rise hitch to get the trailer level. The tail lights are super bright. Strapping down the bike was easy. For the main tie downs, I chose thick "Tank Straps" ratchet straps to attach at the forks (fender area). This method is much better than how the manual states, as it allows your bike's own suspension to move, countering the bumpy roads. I also tied down at the front and rear highway bars (lowest point) with small ratchet ties. This gave me a total of six points to securely hold the bike in place. It worked perfectly. However, I did have one problem on my first tow. Upon reaching my destination (400 miles away), I discovered that the right wheel/hub inside seal had failed, causing grease to ooze out and splatter blobs of it on the inside wheel. The other wheel/hub didn't have this issue. I cleaned up the grease, and after reaching out to a professional mechanic friend of mine, he said it was still safe to tow back home, but I needed to have the seal replaced. I know things like this can happen, but what a hassle, and only after 400 miles. I love how easy the trailer is to fold up and stow away in my shed - taking up very little space. I wish the trailer floor was a little wider to make riding the bike up on it a little safer. My bike is pretty big, so I have to be extremely careful that my feet hit the floor while loading. Other than that, loading and unloading was easy. While it takes some time to remove, set up, and stow the three panel ramp, it's a good system and sturdy. One more problem though. I first elected to store my spare tire under the trailer, but I was pretty concerned that there was only about a four-inch clearance between the tire and the roadway. If I had hit a large bump in the road, I'm pretty sure it would have hit the spare and caused a disastrous outcome. Upon reaching my destination, I had to drive over a pretty large speed bump. Sure enough, the tire hit it and caused a nasty scuff on the wall. I decided to remove the spare and carry it in the back of my SUV for the return trip home. I do NOT recommend keeping your spare under the trailer! All in all, this is a good trailer for the money that The USA Trailer Store is charging. It's much cheaper than the model it copies from Kendon Trailers.

We purchased this trailer as a convenience item. Normally we tow in an enclosed trailer, however our travels are being more unplanned and this trailer is perfect for a quick load and go. Easy trailer to store for sure and appears it is well built. Has several additions that make it a nicer unit, quality trailer tires, grease through hubs and LED lighting. Bought this trailer anout 4 years ago, haul a fully dressed Heritage weighing 1,000 + lbs. Have over 7K miles, tows like a dream, Standing Folding feature makes it easy to store at home and on the road. Loading is crazy easy. Highly recommened!

the trailer arrive in pristine condition. No scratches or dents from shipping and upon thorough inspection no missing or loose parts. Everyone that has looked at it including myself arees that it is well built for what it is designed to do. I don't intend to use it a lot because after all I would rather ride the bike, but my wife can't ride for long distance so the trailer will allow us to travel and still have some riding time. Plus due to if I breakdown or emergency it being lite and maneuverable my wife will be able to hook it up to our truck and come rescue me. LOL! the one thing I wish it had is a swivel or removable jack with wheels making it easier on her to roll out of garage to the truck. To avoid surprises later, I loaded my bike and went on about a 25 mile test run. Loading the bike was easy since the bed is low making only a minor incline. The front tire locked into chock so tying down is simple. It is easy to pull hardly can tell it is back there. Handled well on curvy roads and at interstate speeds. My only disappointment is when I mounted the spare I purchase separately the mounting nuts are 21mm and the lug nuts on trailer wheels are 19mm which means I will need to buy another socket to keep up with. That being said, I love the trailer. It is everything that i am needing it to be. I would highly recommend if you are needing a lightweight trailer and if you have limited space to park it.

The trailer was as described and worked very well. Solid. Stows folded and upright in the garage. Steady as well. For the price quality is excellent. Only thing I wish was possible if the slope was less angular and more smooth with the platform as you mount and dismount the motorcycle

From start to finish I could not have been more please with this experience. I probably had half a dozen or more questions before I purchased the trailer. All were answered promptly and to my complete satisfaction. After ordering they provided me with frequent updates about shipping and the relevant paperwork. Even the shipper was on top of their game and everything went like clockwork. From the time I order until the shipping company offloaded, was a little over one week. Just as advertised, it arrived fully assembled and all I had to do was register it with DMV and put the plates on and it was ready to go.

Have 2017 single motorcycle foldable trailer. Have a2007 goldwing, loads and unloads pretty easy and pulls nicely behind my ridgeline. Have had problem with fender welds breaking and loosing 2 fenders. Try to call customer support to no avail. Have previously stopped at shop in 2021 for a replacement fender. Called customer support on 6/21/22 only to get the run around and no return call after being forced to leave a voicemail and phone number with problem. Good trailer but insufficient customer support.

Let me start with my rating. I was going to give it 4 stars, due to a few issues I found. But to be fair, I was expecting most of them, and there's no way I'd have justified paying thousands more for something made in the US (which might have had the same or similar issues anyway), so thought it'd be unfair to rate it lower. Plus with the excellent customer service from The USA Trailer Store, I'll be able to fix everything to my high standards (thanks guys). I also want to add that other than those minor issues, the quality of the trailer in general, and the design, are excellent. For the price, this is the best single ride-up/foldable motorcycle trailer(with suspension) that you can buy, period (more on that below). Let me make a comment about scratches and scuffs. No matter which brand of trailer you buy, or the cost, it's going to have them (especially from overseas). Even my cousin's top Kendon premium trailer (made in the USA), had lots of them, so it'd be unfair to penalize dealers for that (I didn't). It's simply not their fault. Plus it's easily fixed with a spray paint can of Rustoleum code# 7779830 gloss black. Now, important comments to help others with my extensive research. I considered the Kendon alternative (which is more expensive when equally equipped), mainly due to the fact it has caster wheels. But glad I didn't get it, thanks to my cousin, who owns one, and made me aware of several drawbacks to them. First, it can only be moved sideways, since the middle caster is fixed, so the trailer doesn't roll back when pushed up. Second, none of the casters have brakes. And finally, the casters are quite high, so you have to push the entire weight of the trailer up from about 45-deg. It'd be like adding an inch to your motorcycle center stand. You could injure your lower back when doing it by yourself, so not for me. The AlphaSport is much easier to push up, and can do it myself without issue. So unless you absolutely need the casters to move it around (I don't), I'd go with the AlphaSport instead. Plus it already comes with aluminum wheels, radial tires, and LED lights. By the way, when moving the trailer around, do it with the tail down; it's super easy that way. And if you need the trailer vertical when stored (like I do), just place 2 pieces of lumber (I used 2x8s) under the rear tube frame, and problem solved (it's rock solid like that). And always check all fasteners on your new trailer, to make sure everything is tight. Hope this helps. Looking forward to using the trailer in the spring. JC
