Our LUMINA XL is a pull behind motorcycle cargo trailer designed with diamond tread plate and sleek black aluminum sides. This trailer boasts 18 spacious cubic feet of storage allowing two people to easily pack enough luggage for a full three-weeks of traveling. The trailer looks great behind your Harley, Goldwing, Can Am Spyder or any motorbike, trike or cycle.

We constructed Lumina XL's chassis from aluminum and suspended it with a torsion axle to keep it light weight and smooth towing. Weighing in at only 190lb, this mini trailer is so feather light that you will almost forget that you're towing anything at all. Perhaps you've heard this rumor: steel chassis are preferred to aluminum ones because aluminum is vulnerable to stress fractures. Really? The chassis on GM's high performance Corvette Stingray is aluminum. How's that for stress management?

FREE Freedom Pivot Ball

Leaning into a turn is a necessary (and fun) part of riding a motorcycle. Sadly, when towing a trailer, traditional couplers do not allow the appreciable lean needed in a turn, which can cause flipping, binding, or jack-knifing. To help avoid these potentially deadly situations, industry insiders (Read Article Here) strongly advise the use of a swivel mechanism, and we agree. Unfortunately, swivel mechanisms can cost$149 or more.

We understand that price may be a concern, but trailering without one risks your well-being, the well-being of your passenger, and that of others on the road. We believe this so strongly that we are giving you a FREE Freedom Pivot Ball with your purchase of a Lumina XL. It is our gift of peace of mind. Do not expect to find an offer like this if you buy a trailer elsewhere, DO expect to purchase a tilt ball separately and DO expect to pay more. Why pay more for peace of mind, when you can get it for free at The USA Trailer Store.

  • 6mo Review 5

I've had the trailer for 6 months or so and have taken it on a few trips. This summer I pulled the trailer on a 4 week trip for 5800mi with zero issues. After addressing a few minor issues regarding some leaks and better quality tires I must say that I was pleasantly surprised at how well the trailer pulled behind my Road Glide. I made sure my trailer was loaded and balanced properly with the weight distributed evenly and that my tongue weight was correct. Including the weight of the trailer & contents I was pulling roughly 468lbs total. My tongue weight was about 47lbs which is where it should be. Figure on 10%-15% of your total trailer weight and that should be your tongue weight. The trailer pulled like a dream. Didn't even know it was back there. I had no issues with any fish tailing or wobbling. It tracked 100% perfect. Pulled fine in the rain and through the Rocky Mtns. All in all I'm very happy with this trailer. Not only does it handle nice it also looks great. I often times got stopped at gas stations by people who had lots of questions and compliments. I've had trailers in the past but this one hands down is the best I've had and you can jam a ton of stuff into this. So, if you're thinking about it but are hesitant...just buy the damn trailer!!!!!

Well, after having had the trailer for just a few short months I can say that I like the trailer. It pulls well when loaded correctly, don't even know it's back there. Make sure your trailer tongue is level with your hitch ball. I had to get a ball with a 2" rise to get it level. I got the swivel hitch and it works great. Looks nice and gets lots of compliments. I haven't used the cover yet so it's hard to say how well it works. I'll be leaving out for a 5000mi five week trip starting new week so I'll be able to put it to the test. Now the cons...I'd like to make future buyers aware of a few issues. It's a nice trailer but definitely has some quality control issues. First & foremost, the cooler rack is virtually useless due to its size with no way to strap a cooler down from front to back but that's not the fault of the USA Trailer store. Secondly, the stock tires that come with the trailer are garbage, invest in some good radial tires. Now here's my biggest complaint...the spare tire/ rim is a different size than the stock tires/rims that come with the trailer. The spare tire rim size is 12"x4" and the stock tire/rim is 12"x4.5" and this causes another problem which is the radial tires come in 12"x4" size meaning the stock rims were too big for the new tire. I checked the rim size on the back of the spare as the stock tires were already mounted and I had NO reason to think they'd be different sizes but they were. This led to another issue, the center bore on the smaller rim width spare is 3.19" and the bore size on the stock tire rim width is 2.75". This matters because the center cap dust covers won't fit the spare, they're too small, so it was another thing to have to buy. I called The USA Trailer store and they were unaware of this issue and stated the spare comes from a different vendor. Another problem is that the trailer leaks when being pulled in rain, not bad but a few small leaks. Make sure you silicone around every possible point of water intrusion such as around the luggage rack brackets, rivets on lid of trailer and any and all other possible areas. The fitment of the back bumper is pretty bad. There is almost a 1/2" gap between the bumper and cargo box. Don't know if the box is warped or what but it's pretty crappy considering what I paid for the trailer. Aside for the quality control issues the shipping was fast and arrived undamaged and the handling of the paperwork was a breeze.

Very pleased with the workmanship, fit and finish of mt new trailer. It was easy to put together and no missing or damaged parts. If I could change anything it would be to add red and amber marker lights instead of stickers. I did add some 5 inch LED all in one red to the rear of my trailer and amber to the front of the frame for visibility, other than that I am very happy with thr product.

Nice trailer towed it 300 miles this morning towed great, bumper is kind of cheap, be nice if the safety chain hook fit the hook up point on the swivel ball.

Bought this to pull behind my new Spyder F3 Limited. Used it for the first time for a 700 mile trip to the BMW MOA Rally in VA. Never really noticed it back there. Everything worked great. I videoed the assembly and it was easy.

  • Almost perfect 4

Shipped in clean straight box and packed well. But was disappointed were the parts inside rubbed a quarter size hole through the carpet in the middle of the floor

  • Very sharp looking 5

Love the way it looks with the black & chrome together. It is huge inside, we will be able to pack everything we need for our up coming trip. Very happy.

  • Better than expected 4

    Posted by Glausier1@gmail.com on Mar 24th 2023

The trailer shipped pretty quick. Delivered right to the house within a few weeks. The only 2 issues were there was no wiring directions for the trailer I had to contact customer service to get directions. The other issue was the carpet lining inside the trailer was torn on the side from the bar that was stored in it for shipping
